When I'm not working, you can find me backpacking the wilderness with my husband and our dogs or oil painting in my studio.

The Southern Wok

Co-Owner | January 2022 - Present 

  • Co-founded and played a key role in establishing the business from the ground up.

  • Using Adobe Illustrator, designed the food truck wrap that would be the face of The Southern Wok.

  • Designed the brand identity and continue to maintain its consistency across all channels. 

  • Illustrated unique branded characters and graphics for advertising that increased brand awareness and grab people’s attention. 

  • Folded and cooked over 15,000 dumplings in the past year. 

  • Teach dumpling folding classes and seminars at universities and private events.

 

Fringe

Senior Creative Marketing Coordinator | July 2022 - March 2023 

  • Achieved a 15% increase in meeting conversions by developing and implementing new branding guidelines based on updated persona research and profiles that I developed.

  • Produced engaging organic and paid media, driving a 26% growth in content engagement, attracting 2,300 new followers and increasing qualified inbound leads tenfold.

  • Elevated brand awareness and sales by overseeing an in-house design team that spanned across marketing, product and user experience.

  • Increased app stickiness by 22% through strategic direction of in-app marketing campaigns, resulting in higher user engagement and retention.

  • Led illustration and direction of a brand campaign video that helped  bring Masterclass, Delta Airlines, and Blue Apron to the Fringe platform.

Creative Coordinator | November 2021 - July 2022

  • Directed the creation of six successful video campaigns, managing a team of contractors and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality animated content. For each video I wireframed and wrote the scripts for the storyboards and illustrated each individual component.

  • Managed the design and copywriting for the Fringe marketing website, collaborating with a team of contractors in Webflow. Achieved a 15% decrease in bounce rate and a 25% increase in conversion rate. Enhanced user experience and drove higher customer acquisition.

  • Expertly trained designers in Sketch and Figma, streamlining company designs and ensuring cohesive branding throughout all marketing materials.

  • Organized social media and content calendars on a monthly basis, resulting in consistent messaging across all online channels.

  • Designed and painted a 30ft x 15ft mural in four days that was used for advertising and continues to be a backdrop for the Fringe podcast. 

 

Marketing Associate | January 2021 - November 2021

  • Was brought in as Fringe’s first marketing hire and in my first three months increased closed deals by 30% through new sales enablement design and content creation including, decks, one pagers, and case studies. 

  • Illustrated over 200 unique characters and brand elements using procreate, illustrator and Sketch that would be used across all marketing and product. 

  • Designed booths and prints including a book for conferences and in-person advertising events. 

  • Contributed to creating a seamless user experience through ADA accessible product design.

  • Developed brand voice and oversaw copywriting for the entire company (20 people at the time). This helped create consistency across the newly formed brand.

Southeastern Center for Contemporary Arts

Research and Curation Assistant | August 2018 - December 2018

  • Conducted extensive artist research and generated informative gallery guides for exhibitions.

  • Collaborated effectively with the exhibition team to ensure successful installation of artwork.

  • Facilitated meaningful Arts in Education Grant fulfillment by leading student tours and providing comprehensive support.

  • Sewed 62 pillows and taught others to sew for The PIllow Project, a public art project in national response to immigrant detainment, featured in the exhibition Cubans: Post Truth, Pleasure and Pain.
